New TVs for Cossham RDU

BAKPA has made a £10,000 donation to Southmead Hospital Charity to help fund 24 new TVs for Cossham Dialysis Unit.

The new 32” TVs will provide entertainment and comfort for the 96 dialysis patients who attend the unit for kidney treatment three times a week. Thanks to the generous donation from BAKPA, we’ve replaced the old 19” television sets, many of which were broken, with large-screen flat screens mounted from the ceiling.

“The new upgraded TVs have been welcomed by our dialysis patients some of which spend over four hours having treatment, three times a week. Many of our patients are older people who don’t have access to tablets, so it’s a huge relief to be able to offer all our patients fully functional large screen TVs which provide some much-needed entertainment and distraction during their time here.”
