Coventry Transplant Games 2023

The 2023 British Transplant Games took place in Coventry over the last weekend in July.A team representing Bristol and numbering 13 competitors made the trip to the Midlands,this included 3 new athletes who had not attended the event previously.

Athletes competed in a wide range of sports over the course of four days,these ranging from archery to athletics and bowls to badminton.

A good number of medals were won with several competitors achieving success in multiple events.Star swimmer Richard won four gold medals in the pool and Vince our sprinter brought home three golds from the track.Vince is also deputy team manager and organises the team on the ground so he had a very busy few days.

Team Manager Catharine Hall who is responsible for all the remote administration of the team said :

Well done to all concerned,it is particularly gratifying to see the three new members perform so well and medal in their first events.I’d also like to thank Vince Taylor for running the team at the event itself while i concentrate on the administration/paperwork/recruitment side of things.
